Mission: Spread the Gospel of Babaji

Great Masters’ Interest in America
Babaji is in constant communion with Christ. Together they throw out vibrations for the redemption of the world. It was Babaji who predicted, to my Master, Sri Yukteswarji, that I would go to America to spread the message of India’s sages. Sri Yukteswarji was asked by Babaji to write "The Holy Science" (which shows the union of the Scientific principles underlying Yoga and the Christian Bible) and send to America the unified message of Christianity and Yoga as Self-Realization through fellowship of all religions, or Yogoda Sat-Sanga. I was financed by Bhagavati Charan, my earthly father and disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya, to spread this gospel in America. Babaji also predicted that there were many "would-be saints in America," and one wonderful soul in this great country has already been honored with that title, St. Lynn.
I am also writing the life of the great Babaji as I heard the story from my own Master, Sri Yukteswarji. It was Babaji who first honored Sri Yukteswarji with the title of "Swami" (Master). He received his formal initiation in to the Swami Order from the Mohunt of Budh-Gaya.

Babaji is in constant communion with Christ" Does this mean that Babaji and Christ talk to each other telepathically and subvocally and continuously? If so, such a thing would not be bliss but a complete nightmare.

"Together they throw out vibrations for the redemption of the world"

How does a person throw out vibrations? Is it like throwing a frisby? Perhaps a baseball throw? And after throwing these "vibrations", how does a utopian ideal square with the plain reality of this world now, yesterday and probably forevermore?

    3) There is no science in the christian Bible. So the attempt to write a book (the Holy Science) to demonstrate the scientific unity of the New Testament and the Vedas is complete bullshit. There is no science in the New Testament. (that is worth repeating)

    4) how do you go from the New Testament and the Vedas to the unity of all religions? Surely this is asking for a smack on the jaw.

    5) Yogananda had no job and he didn't want to really work in his life. That is why he needed the money from his hard working father to finance his trip to America. Furthermore, there is no "Gospel" of New Testament + Yoga to spread in the first place. He just made that up.

    6) "would-be saints" is asking for a smack on the opposite jaw. He is basically trying to say that Americans weren't saints until he gave them a helping hand with his omniscience. This is clearly racist and biogted.

    7) James J Lynn was not a "wonderful soul" for being a saint. He was a saint according to Yogananda only because he had a lot of money. That is the real truth here. Yogananda was not gay or even bisexual. He pretended to show love publically with Rajasi by having their photo taken of holding hands. In the 40s Photographs were not easy to do, and even now people are careful to strike a good pose. He was clearly manipulating this small time rich man "rajarsi". And Rajarsi fell for it. Yogananda didn't love anybody but himself. He tried on many occasions to elicit money from Lynn even if the whole enterprise was corrupt to begin with. And Lynn himself was not a saint but a very arrogant selfish person who was spoilt by his own finances, as we can see in the Durga Ma book, "Triology of Divine Love", which is available to download off the internet freely in PDF format.

    8) Sri Yukteshwar was not a recognised swami because Babaji is not a visible leader of any council. Babaji is just an invisible guy that lives in the himilayas somewhere. Where, nobody actually knows, especially if he has the power to become invisible at any time, which would mean he was beamed around by Scotty in conducive ways. So a) it is obvious that becoming a swami is simply just based on the word of any person and b) if it wasn't, and Babaji really did exist, there would not need to be any formal initiation into the swami order from someone else - effectively making the Babaji story a complete myth from start to finish.

Katie, perhaps your next blog entry could be about the invisible guru council leaders in India.

How is it that a man who doesn't age past 25, who can disappear from mortal sight in the twinkling of an eye at any time and place, and who therefore clearly cannot be a council or government member, can somehow lead a whole load of yogi gurus all over india? I can see why people would want to believe that but i can't see how they can.

  4. I will have to let you be a guest blogger on that one...

I don't know much about the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY UNSEEN YOGIC GENTLEMEN led by the INVISIBLE EIGHT HUNDRED YEAR OLD MAN and STAR FLEET COMMAND from the HIMALAYAN CAVE MOTHER SHIP.

I know about it, but At this point in my life, my mind rebels against thinking about such idiotic nonsense. I am content to let the SRF pods seek the message from the unseen cosmic leader beaming in from outer space or India or whatever.

  5. Who was this Babji figure? I don't think he was some "immortal". But, it seems some claimed to have met someone. Who? Or did they make it up?
I always found it interesting that Lahiri would travel with someone to take Babaji the Kriya $ )- why couldn't he just make money appear in his magic cup?), but would ask the person to wait while he met Babaji - I guess he went into a bank.
Swami Parabananda is reputed to have had lunch with him (why not everyone when they get initiated?) and Yogananda claims to have met with him - did they just make it up or were they mentally ill or did they meet someone Lahiri paid to pose as Babaji (the earlier one) or was Lahiri himself taken for a ride by some fakir?
How does this stuff get started? Even when I "believed", I didn't really "believe" and that's our saving grace.

  6. It is confusing isn't it?

I remember having a moment of clarity when SRF was spending millions of dollars suing Ananda. I said to my husband "Why doesn't Babaji just come out of his cave and testify in court that HE and JESUS sent Yogananda to America to spread Kriya via SRF?" Then I thought a moment and said "I don't think he really exists..." to which my husband replied "Well, why doesn't Jesus just come out and tell everyone what he wants done?" and I said "well, because Jesus has been dead for 2000 years but Babaji is still alive in India." At that moment I knew there was no 800 year old guy in the Himalayas and I thought how idiotic it is to BELIEVE something so incredibly stupid to begin with.

At one point in the 'Inner culture magazine' Yogananda said that Lahiri "Devised" Kriya yoga. Then at some point, years later, he said it came from Babaji...

I really think this is the gullibility test for SRF devotees.

If they can get a normally intelligent person to bow down and pray in front of a drawing of a half naked 800 year old ageless, immortal, Guru character that no one has ever heard of before or seen but who is living in a cave in India meditating with Jesus of Nazareth and planning for world domination and enlightenment through Yogananda, then BINGO! That boob is an SRF devotee! One of the chosen few!

    Thats my theory...

    Peace and Best Wishes,

I think Lahiri made it up because he was mentally insane. Either that or there are many "Babaji's" in India (as we know) and there is some kind of confusion amongst the kriya yogis there.
